To promote their ranges, Tilda set up a Tilda Rice-taurant in Brick Lane. The aim of which was to make us ditch the recipe and cookbooks, and follow our inner chef spirits.
We had the option to select a cuisine as a our base: Thai, South American, Caribbean, South Indian or Middle Eastern, then were given a small box with some central ingredients to our choice.
We waited for the Tilda chef to give us a quick health and safety briefing and info on how to use our cooking stations.
We then wandered over to the vegetable table, where the Tilda chef helped us with our vegetable, rice and spice selections. It’s interesting letting your inner chef go wild and not worrying too much about the finer details.
We had a great time at the Tilda Ricetaurant pop up, trying something new and different. Here’s how the dish turned out. We also got some additional rice freebies to take home!
